With representatives from nearly 30 countries already confirmed, registrations are running hot for the 21st GS1 Global Healthcare Conference, to be held in Sydney from 20-22 March 2012.

The event is hosted by GS1 Australia in conjunction with the GS1 Global Office. The National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA) is the Industry Partner. The conference will bring together healthcare professionals and key industry players from around the world to advance the implementation of global standards and ultimately raise the bar on patient outcomes and the efficient and timely access to medical devices, consumables and pharmaceuticals in the healthcare sector.

The three-day programme is packed with informative speaker sessions, panel discussions, workshops and case studies on all aspects of patient safety and supply chain efficiency. Local and international experts from a range of healthcare sectors will take to the stage to share the latest information on industry and regulatory developments in automatic identification, traceability, electronic product catalogues and data synchronisation.

During the conference, delegates will have the opportunity to visit healthcare sites to see global best practice in action. Plus, on day three, the National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA) will host an international Government Healthcare Supply Chain ThinkTank to explore synergies in Supply Chain innovation and reform.

Also, as is standard for global GS1 Healthcare conferences, there will be exciting networking opportunities for all participants.
